ALOUETTE ARTS MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL - Maple Ridge, BC
This is the 12th year of this annual outdoor event. The Midsummer Festival is a family orientated community event featuring local musicians, artists, crafters, and international food venders. Childrens activities and entertainment take place throughout the day. The event is held at Maple Ridge Park and runs from 11am - 7 pm. PAINT THE TOWN - Maple Ridge, BC
The Maple Ridge Art Gallery Society is having an event for artists and the
public to show how "Beautiful Our Community Is" with on location
painting by local and invited artists. 2002 info: On Saturday, September 14,
artists will be challenged to paint on location at various locations in Maple
Ridge and Pitt Meadows in a five hour morning/afternoon session. The artists
return to the Gallery where the work is framed. There is an evening auction/wine
& cheese event where the artwork painted or created that day are auctioned
to raise money for the new arts centre. On Sunday, Sept. 15, there is opening
reception where the "Best of Show" and other prizes are awarded
for Artwork on display in Gallery for the week of Sept. 15 to 20.

Unity In DiversityWeek recognizes diversity in its broadest sense and promotes positive relations among all people.
