There is a huge market for sex trade workers globally and, under our noses, hundreds of thousands of children and others are being stolen, treated inhumanly, and trafficked across borders throughout the world each year. It is apparently the third largest source of income for international organized crime, after trafficking in drugs and arms. See some statistics below:+ "...At least 12.3 million people are victims of
forced labour worldwide. Of these 2.4 million are as a result of human trafficking.
