UPCOMING MEETING FOLLOWING UP ON the
INTENTIONAL INTERCULTURAL CHURCH PLANTING
CONFERENCE which took place Oct 2002.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"There is a group of us that has formed around the Intentionally Intercultural Churches conference that has been held here in the Lower Mainland a couple of times. The last one was at PLBC last October. In any case, this group is developing a seminar for churches that want to become more intentionally intercultural. That includes ethnic churches that want to reach Anglo-Canadians or their own second and third generations. The seminar is six hours long and we will be conducting 3 of them on selected Saturdays during the next few months. There is one scheduled for the 8th of February. The main concept is to have whole church leadership teams attend and work through this process-focused seminar together. We had very good reviews from our first "beta-test" of the seminar in October and are preparing an improved version. The cost is $100 per church and includes 10 sets of materials. Blessings.

global leadership consultation
31st May - 6th June 2003
Langley, BC, Canada
The globalisation of mission
This consultation will be the 6th in a series of (usually) triennial consultations convened by the World Evangelical Alliance Missions Commission. Normally, each consultation results in a publication. This time, the publication will be launched at the consultation.
Canada 2003 will consider two main themes : Christian encounter with other religions, and the implications of globalisation for world mission.
The consultation will also include meetings of MC networks and taskforces, each of which will work on their own agenda during the consultation.
A total of 200 participants are expected from some 60 nations. The venue will be Trinity Western University, Langley, BC, Canada. After the consultation, a separate event on "The Bible and the Nations" will be held at Regent College, Vancouver, co-sponsored by WEA MC and Regent College. It is anticipated that many from the WEA MC consultation will go on to this second event.

PRAISE & WORSHIP CONGRESS
AUGUST 2, 2003
On August the 2nd, 2003, our church ( Iglesia Evangelica Restauracion) will be hosting the very first event of this calibur done in Canada, a Praise and Worship Congress at the Plaza of Nations.
A "well known" Christian Spanish singer ( probably equal to english singer Michael W. Smith....something like that) will be coming from Mexico with his worship team to host this day long event.
The morning will be a music seminar on how we can be better " Adorers of Jesus" and the evening will be this FREE massive concert where we are expecting 4000-5000 people. and know that the Lord will draw many lives to HIM! PRAISE THE LORD!
Along with this I have a few prayer requests :
1st for FAITH FAITH FAITH! THAT everything is possible in HIM who give us
strength
2nd for a perfect venue for the Music Seminar ( the FREE concert will be in
the Plaza of Nations, but the seminar is still without a location)
3. for unity within the Spanish speaking churches ( this is a difficult task,
but not impossible!)
4. Finances ( there is a budget of about $50,000 for this event, and the Lord
knows that this event is solely to exalt HIS HOLY name)
5. for me to have balance to manage with School, work and being the event
coordinator for this event!
