If you have other proposals you would like for others to consider and for us to post, please send us the exact information you would like included in a coming edition of the newsletter and the version you'd like posted on the web site (please let us know if you want it on both or only in the newsletter. If you want it on the web site, please specificy which edition you would like posted on the web site - you may not want all of the info on the web site which you would include in the newsletter)
Lower Mainland ETHNIC MINISTRIES CENTER

Are you interested in potentially parterning together with local churches, Christian business people, ministries, missions, Christian educators, etc. to see a local Ethnic Ministry Center established which can potentially serve all of the ministries/individuals of those in the network to serve the local/overseas ethnic communities to help bring healing to the nations?
Such a center could potentially include things like:
+ a drop-off place/warehouse for goods/food/clothing/furniture, etc. for those in need;
+ a place where new-comers can make contacts with folks who can help them get connected with folks who can help them get settled and established here and connect them with local Christian churches/families who would like to minister to them;
+ a place where they could learn various skills - ie. computer skills, various potential job skills;
+ a place where they could get some career counselling;
+ a place where they can receive prayer ministry/deliverance ministry;
+ a place where they can find resources in their language - ie. Bibles, ethnic Christian worship CDs, etc.;
+ a place where they could receive music/art lessons as a part of friendship evangelism/discipleship, etc.;
+ a place for local events which could help to strengthen their families and communities - ie. marriage and family seminars, fun events like sports or games events/BBQs, etc.;
+ a place for them to hang out with local believers who are interested in befriending them;
+ a place where they could teach local Caucasians (for example) how to cook some of their meals or teach us how to play their instruments;
+ a place where they could display some of their art which expresses some of the suffering they have gone through or are going through as refugees; etc.

CROSS CULTURAL MINISTRY TRAINING RESOURCE CENTER

Are you interested in potentially partnering together with local churches, Christian business people, ministries, missions, Christian educators, etc. to see a local CROSS CULTURAL MINISTRY TRAINING RESOURCE CENTER established which can potentially serve all of the ministries/individuals of those in the network to serve the local/overseas ethnic communities to help bring healing to the nations?
This could also potentially be a part of an Ethnic Ministries Center (see above) - though there may be reasons to keep the two separate - perhaps the Ethnic Ministries CENTER could include evangelism/discipleship resources for the ethnic communities, and this CROSS CULTURAL MINISTRY TRAINING RESOURCE CENTER could be a center which includes resources to help train local believers to reach out to the ethnic communities - including information on world religions and how to reach out to the various groups, resources on contextualization, on crossing cultures, on the countries/cultures of the various people groups, on developing godly character and all the other aspects of seeing people maturing as ministers of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Developing an Intro/Promotional Video on the Lower Mainland Ethnic Ministries Network

Are you interested in potentially working together with others who would like to see an introductory video produced on the Lower Mainland Ethnic Ministry Network?
Such an intro video could potentially be used to help make the larger Body locally aware of the needs, what is being done, what we envision, and what COULD be done as we work together in the future, a clip on the various ministries involved, etc.
